• The Other Darrin: Delta Dawn is played by Jenny Mermelstein instead of Kelly Clarkson.
• Role Reprise: In addition to the majority of the main cast from the films returning, Megan Hilty and Lauren Mayhew also reprise their roles as Holly Darlin' and Val Thundershock, respectively, from Trolls: TrollsTopia.
• Word of God: Despite two TrollsTopia characters appearing in the short alongside the main movie characters, co-director Tim Heitz still considers the timelines of the movies and shows to be completely separate, making them both fall on Broad Strokes.
