  • Awesome Music: "Good, Better, Best!", an original song written for "The Great Race" to replace "I'm Full of Surprises", was actually composed and performed by the author and uploaded to his Soundcloud page (initially a demo and later recomposed.) The final version later received a music video created by YouTube user Mainland (can be viewed here .)
  • Creator's Favorite: Characters like Glynn, Skiff, BoCo, George and even Logan and OC Lucian are given ample focus throughout the series. The most notable character is Toby, who was originally the author's favorite character, and receives ample focus whenever he's featured. In fact, Toby was The Protagonist of "The Rails to Redemption", a retelling of his arrival to Sodor, alongside Henry (the author's current favorite character.)
  • What Could Have Been:
    • Ryan was originally the focus character of "The Sad Story of Glynn", but the author replaced him with Rosie because she didn't have any prominent role in the TV series at the time.
    • Bill and Ben were originally meant to appear in "Back Engine", but were cut among other things.
    • OC character Beetle was originally going to work alongside the other narrow gauge engines, tasked with taking explosives from Crovan's Gate to the old quarry. The author decided against it as Beetle is more of a discreet character.
    • "The Polar Rocket" solely focused on Stephen, but as it was being written, Class 40 became more involved.
  • Word of Gay: Kelly is changed from male to non-binary.
  • Word of God: Chase has confirmed a few things over the course of the fic:
    • The Abominable Snow Engine is the same class as Luke, with ice-colored textures, snow and ice covering it, and red eyes with black sclera bearing resemblance to Mr. Freeze.
    • "Monkey Business" was based off the Take-n-Play set, "Whiff's Banana Blooper".
    • George isn't part of the Pack but will be used over Buster, who isn't due to make an appearance.
    • "Close Encounters of the Toad Kind" can be considered two parts: "Unidentified Flying Oliver" and "Abduc-toad".
