Trivia / The Young Bucks

  • Cowboy BeBop at His Computer: Those who actually read more than the first 100 names on the PWI 500 got a treat in 2013 when they saw the names Max and Jeremy Jackson.
  • Inspiration for the Work: Crossing with Affectionate Parody, Kenny watched promotional videos for the disastrous Fyre Festivalnote  and was inspired to make a wrestling-themed campaign called Fyter Fest to promote AEW's co-branded event with Community Effort Orlando (CEO). The Bucks insisted that Kenny watch one of the two Fyre Festival documentaries to see how that event had Gone Horribly Wrong.
  • Money, Dear Boy: This is what kept The Bucks coming back. Initially the Sinclair suits did not think the constantly traveling California team was worth the money but later decided not only would they pay to fly them in but pay The Bucks to work fewer dates!
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The Hung Bucks won the ROH 6-man tag titles due to Dalton Castle needing to rehab a back injury.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: The Bucks often used DX catch phrases, mannerisms and even the theme song until WWE sent them a Cease and Desist letter. This also affected their "FTR" gag, as the target of the gag is WWE tag team The Revival.
  • Serendipity Writes the Plot: The Elite founded AEW partly because Tony Khan felt that ROH was too badly mismanaged to be worth investing in.
  • What Could Have Been: Due to the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic, The highly anticipated Blood and Guts match between The Elite and The Inner Circle had to be postponed and was eventually replaced by the Stadium Stampede match at Double or Nothing II.
    • Matt almost didn't make it to the Stadium Stampede match due to him injuring his ribs performing a crossbody on the Dynamite before Double or Nothing. Luckily, this trope was averted and both Bucks were good to go.
