• Bury Your Art: Both writer Mark Millar and artist Anthony Williams have expressed regret at creating this comic. It's been out of print since the series ended in 2007, has never been released digitally, and Millar and Williams have removed the book from their websites (with Millar even removing Williams from the list of artists he's collaborated with). Both refuse to talk about it in interviews, and The Art of Millarworld, a compilation of all the covers of all of Millar's creator-owned comics, left out The Unfunnies entirely.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: The only legal way to get this comic is to buy up print issues from the comic's original run. Due to the level of tropes such as Darker and Edgier, Crosses the Line Twice, and Black Comedy, even Mark Millar, who usually revels in that style, has disowned the series and refuses to re-release it or even acknowledge it in interviews.
