• Deleted Scene: After Homer is arrested Bart declares himself the new man of the Simpsons house. He tells Lisa that her bedtime is now 4:30 (after she says the dog would be ahead of him) and asks Marge (who he's now addressing by her first name) to add some new dishes to their dinner menus.
  Marge (confused): Kreplach? Gefilte fish?
  Bart (mimicking an old Jewish man): Okay, I'll go without.
• Romance on the Set: Hank Azaria and Helen Hunt were dating at the time this episode was made, marrying in 1999, but ultimately divorcing in 2000.
• Working Title: "Mutual of Moemaha".
