• Blooper: Homer's hair seems to be cutting a slice◊ out of his cowboy hat at the end.
• The Cast Showoff: Not only did Beverly D'Angelo do her own singing, but she wrote two songs for the episode - "Your Wife Don't Understand You" and "I Bagged Me a Homer".
• Deleted Scene: There was a cut scene where Bart and Lisa argue over country singers.
• Missing Trailer Scene: A commercial for the episode has this scene when Bart and Lisa are in Lurleen Lumpkin's recording studio (this promo can be viewed on the Season 3 DVD as a special feature through the episode menu):
  Lisa: I never thought I'd see another woman in Dad's life.
  Bart: What are you talking about? There's Sara Lee, Aunt Jemima, Betty Crocker...
• Orphaned Reference: Despite Bart and Lisa going to see different movies when they run into the cinema, later on, there's a joke where Bart tricks Lisa into looking during a scary part of a movie. But if they got tickets to different movies, why are they in the same theater? The original script explains it through a scene where Bart and Lisa each exit their theaters, having not enjoyed their respective picks, and sneak into one together.
