  • No Stunt Double: Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, Very Tri Yulisman, and Cecep Rahman all did their own stunts. Yes, that includes jumping from car to car, getting hit by various hard objects, and getting cut repeatedly. In case you're wondering, all of them are expert Silat practitioners.
  • Promoted Fanboy: The number of extras and big name actors in this movie far exceeds the previous one, thanks to them being fans and gladly offering themselves for the roles.
  • You Look Familiar: A few of the new characters (major or minor in roles) are actually played by returning actors.
    • Yayan Ruhian, who plays Prakoso, also played Mad Dog in the previous film.
    • Very Tri Yulisman, who plays Baseball Bat Man, also played one of Tama's guards in the previous film.
    • The actor who portrayed the taxi driver was one of the guards who accompanied Andi in the previous film.

    • Nobara from Jujutsu Kaisen is a heroic expy of Hammer Girl, being a hammer-wielding (singular) Action Girl, she also gets blinded in one eye.
    • In Chainsaw Man, Quanxi and Yoshida's stances before they fight are directly lifted from the fight between Rama and the Assassin.
  • Word of God: At the end of the film it is left ambiguous as to whether Rama lives or dies, with one of the final shots having him be confronted by a large amount of Yakuza agents. When he talked about his original plans for The Raid 3, it was revealed that Rama would have walked away unharmed and gone home to live on with his wife and son.
  • What Could Have Been: A third film was originally in the works, with Tony Jaa being officially intended to join the cast and Michael Jai White being reportedly in talks too (as well as possibly Cung Le). However, it was eventually cancelled in 2016 due to director Gareth Evans having lost interest in the idea and wanting to move on from the series. He revealed that the film would have revealed that Rama survived and went to go live in peace with his family in the beginning. The film would then focus on a new protagonist named Goto, a yakuza possibly from the Goto family who gets betrayed by his bosses. The film would follow his fight to survive and eventual journey to India where he would team up with an Indonesian mob boss to get revenge. Gareth Evans himself said that this idea would have no doubt angered the fans of the first two movies, and hoped that by revealing his plans it would allow people to move on from wanting a sequel.
