• Writer Revolt: John Byrne was not a fan of Marvel's previous editor-in-chief, New Universe architect and Star Brand writer Jim Shooter. With Shooter gone, Ken Connell - who was viewed as his Author Avatar - was written as a dangerous jerkass and Shooter's beloved home city of Pittsburgh was promptly sacrificed for The Pitt.
