• Content Leak: One week prior to the airing of this episode, several screenshots of the Hunter/Belos amalgamation and Flapjack's sacrifice (albeit the immediate aftermath of it) were leaked onto Twitter. Zeno Robinson briefly commented on this leak in a series of now-deleted tweets.
• Descended Creator: Luz's English teacher is voiced by supervising producer Stephen Sandoval.
• Development Gag: With her beanie, longer hair, and jacket covering her striped shirt, Luz now bears a strong resemblance to her beta design. She also takes up a baseball bat, which her beta design was shown wielding.
• Fandom Nod: The coming out video created by Luz and Amity is developed by "Lumity Studios".
• Meaningful Release Date: This episode premieres the last day of Hispanic Heritage month, as Luz's and Camila's heritage is referenced a lot, as well as halfway in the month to Halloween.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Vee was going to be uncomfortable with Hunter being in the house because of his connection to the Emperor's Coven, but it was cut for time, as the episode was packed enough already.
  • The final fight between Belos and the Hexsquad was going to feature the bog bodies from the graveyard, with Philip jumping between decaying corpses.
• Write What You Know: Just like in "Reaching Out", a Tearjerker variety happens in this episode. The reveal that Manny (Luz's father) gave her a copy of the first book of The Good Witch Azura as a parting gift before his death actually parallels with Dana's father giving her Pokémon Red (which by her own admission partially inspired the show) as a last gift before being killed in a car accident when she was 11.
