- Those Two Actors: Mark Tierno, Curt Wootton, and Aaron Kleiber all previously appeared on the web series Captain Blasto, which was also written and directed by Chris Preksta.
- What Could Have Been: One early draft of the story had the Mercury Men come to Earth to steal the brain of a brilliant engineer (which would later be reworked as the brain being in charge of the invasion). Another draft had the invaders from Pluto seeking revenge for their planetary status being revoked. Yes, really.
- Edward was originally supposed to die in the penultimate episode, though this idea was scrapped for being too dark.
