- Acting for Two: Brendan Wayne (grandson of John), one of the stunt/body doubles for the titular Mandalorian, also portrays the Death Watch Mandalorian who saved the titular character when he was a child during the Clone Wars.

- On-Set Injury: On the filming day for the scene where Mando's helmet is removed to reveal his severely injured face, Pedro Pascal actually did seriously injure his face and had to get stitches across his nose (which caused a hell of a time for the poor hospital staff having to pick out which wounds were real or makeup). Doubles as Enforced Method Acting for Pascal.

- Emily Swallow got a double dose of this, as a fan of both Star Wars and Taika Waititi.
- Members of the 501st Legion, a Cosplay group who specialise in Stormtrooper costumes, were hired to play Stormtroopers as the script called for more troopers than the crew had costumes for. The group receives a "Special Thanks" mention in the end credits.
- Spared by the Cut: The Stormtroopers originally succeeded at killing the Armorer, until Jon Favreau decided to let her live instead.
