• Ascended Meme: Jason mentions Draculas with jetpacks in this episode. "Jetpack Dracula" was a big meme involving the Netflix US Twitter account. Now, it's actually a line in what is a Netflix original in some territories.
• Production Posse: Michael Schur worked with Lisa Kudrow all the way back in 2005 on The Comeback.
• What Could Have Been: Initially, Chidi was going to explicitly explain that, when you walked through the Door, your soul would go down to Earth and inspire living humans to do good. This was cut as they believed leaving the fate of going through the Door be ambiguous was a more powerful ending. While, in the finale, this concept returns when Eleanor goes through, but it is left deliberately ambiguous whether or not this is what always happens.
