Trivia / The Ghosts of Our Fathers

• Aborted Arc: In the original draft of The Restless Souls there were going to be two simultaneously running plotlines. While the bulk of the story was still about Charlie, the secondary plot involved Mike Schmidt/Afton meeting his father for the first time. When the author went back to rewrite the story from the ground up, the plot with Mike was cut due to it feeling rather out of place amidst the events of Charlie's story. Though the author has stated that he plans to release the "Mike Story" on its own sometime in the future.

• Development Hell: Work on the main story started in mid-2018 shortly after the release of Five Nights at Freddy's: The Fourth Closet and but was only published in 2020 after the author decided to rewrite everything that he'd previously written from the ground up after cutting out a storyline about Mike Schmidt.

• George Lucas Altered Version: According to Word of God, once The Restless Souls is finished the author intends to go back and revise most of the early chapters with better writing.

• Shout-Out: The overarching name of the series is in reference to the song "Ghosts of our Fathers" by the artist Aviators from their album The Cinematic Future
