• Creator Backlash: According to the cartoon's DVD commentary, both Bob Clampett and Chuck Jones (who animated part of the film) disliked this cartoon after its release because they thought the iron lung gags would be insensitive to those with polio (which was a major epidemic at the time of the cartoon's release).
