Go To

  • Executive Veto: In an interview, Richard Wordsworth stated that in the original screenplay his beggar character was a werewolf. Hammer told him that the censor had problems with the notion of a werewolf being a rapist, so out it went.
  • Recycled Set: The interiors of the inn where Leon is staying is the same interior from Dracula's castle in Horror of Dracula. You can notice the same pillars. The basement he runs into is also the same vault where Dracula kept his coffin.
  • Star-Making Role: For Oliver Reed.
  • What Could Have Been: The Werewolf of Paris was supposed to be made into a film as early as 1935 by Universal, but its writer Guy Endore was then employed by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer so Universal made Werewolf of London instead.
