• What Could Have Been:
  • There was to be a reunion of all The Beatles for the concert. Paul McCartney rejected the invitation because of lingering bad feelings from legal problems on their breakup, and John Lennon initially agreed to appear but turned it down at the last minute, supposedly after getting into an argument with Yoko Ono. The four members wouldn't perform on the same post-breakup album until Ringo Starr's Ringo, albeit in separate tracks.
  • Badfinger was to have a featured performance in the concert when Bob Dylan came in at the last minute of planning. They still performed as part of the backing band.
