All There in the Manual: This mod is connected to MaliciousBunny's Trollge videos, which reveals a few things about Smiler and Stairway.
What Smiler did to cause his depressed remorse; kidnapping and torturing another Rage Comics character, Derp, who also happened to be his best friend, into developing voices that constantly demand he smile, all for the sake of a morbid practical joke.
After causing the Stairway to Heaven Incident but before "Pteromerhanophobia", Stairway was looking for his own Derp, who he was apparently close with given the nickname "Derpy". However, Derp was... not okay. As he approached Stairway, he killed Derp in self-defence. Although originally feeling remorse for it, he then said it's not his fault and said that he was just trolling, over and over, before going Laughing Mad.
