• Breakthrough Hit: "If I Die Young"
• Creator Killer: The unreleased Heart + Beat and shift to a poppier sound seem to have eliminated pretty much all mainstream interest in them.
• Development Hell / Executive Meddling: Their third album, Heart + Beat, was delayed after its lead single "Live Forever" completely bombed at radio due to its heavier pop production. Then in early 2016, the band parted ways with their label, only to sign with Mercury in July. However, their first Mercury single, "Comeback Kid", fared even worse.
