Trivia / The Amelia Project

Go To

  • Actor-Shared Background: Amelia is an American of Japanese descent, just like her actress Julia Morizawa.
  • The Cast Showoff: Julia C. Thorne is a soprano and gets to sing "La Marseillaise" in the Patreon-exclusive Alvina Archives episode "Villa Bianca".
  • The Danza: Alvina's original name, Julia C. Thorpe, is almost the exact same name as that of her voice actress, Julia C. Thorne.
  • Development Gag: The name of the Incognito Project, a competitor of Amelia introduced later in the podcast, was originally considered as the name of the podcast itself.
  • Missing Episode: "Chateau Lafite", intended as a prologue for "Zale Indigo Ravenheart", was removed from the feeds altogether, with "Cocoa" replacing it as the episode's prologue, when the episode changed places with "Elizabeth Barlow" (see What Could Have Been below) due to referencing events of the episode.
  • The Other Darrin: Michael Govier played Mateo in his introductory episode, "T.I.P." (Episode 26). In his later appearances, he was played by Josh Callahan, who also re-recorded some of Govier's lines for the "Spiked Cocoa" mid-season recap episode.
  • Real-Life Relative:
    • Alvina's voice actress, Julia C. Thorne, is the younger sister of the podcast's co-creator Philip Thorne.
    • Brothers Tim Meredith and Ben Meredith, who also co-starred in the Rusty Quill podcast Stellar Firma, appear in guest roles in Season 5's "Granville T. Woods".
  • What Could Have Been: Episode 3, "Elizabeth Barlow", had originally been intended to be the first episode instead of "Zale Indigo Ravenheart", which was going to be the third, but the episodes changed order and parts of "Elizabeth Barlow" were rewritten and re-recorded. Specifically, it was a part where the client, who was getting revenge on her cheating husband, wanted to resurface as a man so she could seduce the husband's mistress and break them up. Because this was seen as promoting harmful stereotypes about trans people, the original episode and prologue were taken down and replaced with re-recorded ones with this bit changed, the new version being considered canon.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • Ben Meredith appears in Season 4's "Pretzel" and "The Royal Shakespeare Company" and Season 5's "Granville T. Woods" as different characters.
    • Tim Meredith appears in Season 4's "Monsier Rêve" and Season 5's "Granville T. Woods", playing different characters.
