- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Although some few stories have been collected or reprinted in different trades, most of the over seven-hundred-issue long run remains unavailable out of scanlation sites. Seminal runs like Jerry Siegel's, Cary Bates' or Elliot S! Maggin's have never been reprinted in full, and the Joe Casey's non-crossover Adventures of Superman run remains uncollected, even though his book was widely praised to be the best of the early-2000s Superman books.

- Issue #400 "The Living Legends of Superman" contains a series of stories set after Superman's apparent death, starting with one set when his life was still within living memory and moving further and further into the future, as memory became myth but he continued to inspire people.
- Issue #500 kicked off Doomsday's first return.
