• What Could Have Been: The cold opening with Jacknife being healed in church was supposed to actually show Jesus Christ getting off the crucifix to beat up Jacknife. Apparently, the censors thought that was blasphemous (His coming off the cross, not His beating up Jacknife) and asked Karacas to redo the scene so it's implied.
