Shinn's CharacterDevelopment in ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny'' was taken in a negative direction, and he only got worse as the show went on. While ''Z'' still has Shinn go down the drain for a while, ''Z'' doesn't take him to the same extreme the anime did, and it begins rebuilding him as a heroic figure, which truly shows in the ZEUTH route split, where he never abandons the party and goes up against [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny Gilbert Durandal]].

* Due to LaserGuidedAmnesia, Z-BLUE cannot remember characters from any absent series in ''Jigoku-hen''. However, only memories in the combined world in this game are affected: only when [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkphvyzMDj0 Kei and the Orguss arrive from an interdimensional rift]] into the world of ''Jigoku-hen'' does Z-BLUE recall he is their comrade. * As a ShoutOut to ''Zeta Gundam'', Kamille becomes upset when a student from the karate club at Jindai High [[https://youtu.be/oDivcd9QGuU calls him a girl]]. He proceeds to beat him senseless, a reference to him doing the same thing to [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam Jerid Messa]].
** Rather than use the Zeta Gundam, Kamille begins ''Jigoku-hen'' as a test pilot for the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn RGZ-95 ReZEL]] by [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn Anaheim Electronics]], and is partnered with [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamUnicorn Riddhe Marcenas]]. Since the [[Anime/MobileSuitZetaGundam Anti-Earth Union Group]] is no longer needed, its members have been absorbed into [[Anime/MobileSuitGundamCharsCounterattack Londo Bell]].
