* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: It's starting to push the bounds of plausibility that the CoolOldLady in the PresentDay was a preteen child in 1928, which places her birth sometime in the late 1910s or so. In 1994, this would put her in her seventies (roughly the same age as Viveca Lindfors's at the time), but today it would make her about a hundred (incidentally, Catherine's age seems to have been retconned by the TV series, which specified that she was twenty-one in 1945, thus placing her birth in about 1924, though now she would still be nearly a hundred).

** Jaye Davidson wasn't very fond of acting and originally intended that ''Film/TheCryingGame'' would be the only film he ever made. However, the producers of this film were desperate to sign him on, and he agreed to do it for a million dollars; enough, he figured, to either make them give up or give him some financial security for the rest of his life.

And it was going to be so much fun. It was going to be so wild. But we never got to go there. We never got to explore it.”

** The village scene at the beginning is longer
** A longer entrance of Ra at the assembly. O'Neill and his men are pushed down by the guards
** An extended entry to the control room. Daniel gets an explanation of how things work. You see that the conference room is directly above the control room
** An extended activation of the Stargate. You see more of the two technicians operating the Stargate. General West orders final evacuation. The two technicians leave the control room. O'Neill looks back at West. West leaves the conference room and the shutters close

Trivia examples have to be hooked to a trope. One of these is just a Shout Out, while the other is more than likely an example of Web Two Point Oh.

* As mentioned on the main page, this was one of the first films to get a promotional website, as the Internet was just beginning to take off in popularity. There is debate on whether or not it was ''the'' first, as ''Film/StarTrekGenerations'' also claims to have the first website.
* There's a snyde ShoutOut to renowned Egyptologist E.A. Wallis Budge at the beginning when Daniel is asked to translate the writing on the stone. It may go right over the heads of most viewers, but to fans of Egyptology it's a hoot. Budge's translations as well as his interpretations of Egyptian religion and culture were unfortunately all too influenced by his Victorian attitudes. [[http://fannyfae.com/2013/09/05/using-budge-bad-idea/ This essay explains why the line is appropriate and accurate.]] If you're interested, [[http://ask.metafilter.com/46687/Is-E-A-Wallis-Budge-still-worth-reading here's some recommended reading.]]
--> '''Daniel.''' Well, the translation of the inner track is wrong. Must've used Budge. I don't know why they keep reprinting his books.
