• Creator's Favorite Episode: We probably don't even need to tell you that Garrett Wang picked this as his favorite Voyager episode.
• Directed by Cast Member: Inverted. When he isn't acting or reading, Burton has a third career as a respected TV director, and was hired to helm the show's milestone episode. Brannon Braga then asked if he'd like to appear on-screen, and the episode was quickly re-written.
• Milestone Celebration: The party in engineering is also celebrating the fact that this is VOY's 100th episode.
• Word of God: Harry and Chakotay stole a temporal transmitter from a Borg cube wreck discovered in the Beta Quadrant several years after Voyager is destroyed. Fans latched onto this when a Borg cube wreck in the Beta Quadrant — "the Artifact" — became an important setting on Star Trek: Picard. That show's staff acknowledged that the two are one and the same. (Amusingly enough, the "Days since..." accident sign on the Artifact would fit roughly within the episode's time frame.)
