• Disabled Character, Disabled Actor: Aurellio, the Emerald Chain scientist who uses a wheelchair, is played by Kenneth Mitchell, who has ALS and started to use a wheelchair in October of 2019.
• Milestone Celebration: This episode arguably marks the 800th scripted episode of the franchise across film, television and animation. (Depending on whether you count double-length episodes as one or two since if you count them as two, then it's the 810th episode of the franchise.) Not counting the films and treating the double length episodes as two, it's only the 797th and the 800th episode title goes to Star Trek: Lower Decks episode "Kayshon, His Eyes Open".
• Working Title: The original title of this episode was "The Good of the People".
