• Author's Saving Throw: Gustav's portrayal as a Wheelchair Woobie received a great deal of criticism from the disabled community, who pointed out the unfortunate implications of a character all but stating that being dead was better than being disabled. The developers apologized, and promised to fix it in the Gustav update in late Summer 2021, which revised his dialogue so that he no longer sees the fact that he had to use a wheelchair as debilitating, but rather dislikes how it caused other people to be condescending towards him.
• In Memoriam: The credits lists family members of the developers who passed away. Many passed away during or after development in 2019 and 2020, and one was in his teens when he died.
