* ActorAllusion:

** Creator/RogerMoore's character saying "There's no need for any stirring" as he is shaking a [[Film/JamesBond martini]].
** Victoria snarking that Geri should remove her top to awaken a young boy from a coma could be seen as one to Geri Halliwell's stint as a topless model.
* TheCastShowOff: Emma shows her karate skills, while Music/MelanieC does her trademark backflip.
* DeletedRole:
** Gary Glitter was hastily cut out of the film once his trip to PC World made the news.
** Creator/JasonIsaacs filmed a cameo as a snobby, pretentious author and poet, but it ended up cut.
** Giannia Versace filmed a cameo, but it was cut following his murder.
* DeletedScene:
** Music/EltonJohn's cameo was originally going to end with him walking away from them and saying to himself, "This never happened with Music/TakeThat".

** A scene of the girls and Clifford dining on pizza and Pepsi at the Dogscoff Manor was taken out. Shots of this sequence are included in a sticker book based on the movie.
* MissingTrailerScene: The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmSBtOHzGPM trailer]] has a couple of scenes that were cut:
** The girls are on the bus and Mel B complains that it's hot in there. Victoria says that she needs a fan, prompting Emma to open the door and a fangirl bursts into the room and screams in delight and then leaves. This does the trick.
** While talking to Music/BobGeldoff, Mel B is offered a plate of h'orderves. She replies, "No, but I'll have one of these pie things" and eats one.
* MoneyDearBoy:
** Creator/RichardEGrant has cheerfully admitted that money was his primary consideration for appearing in the film. It's hard not to suspect that it was a primary consideration for most of the other participants as well.
** Creator/RogerMoore admitted in his autobiography that he filmed his part in a day and that the fee was simply too good to refuse.
* OldShame: In the ''Giving You Everything'' documentary, Geri Halliwell expressed embarrassment at her acting the film and hinted that the rushed shooting schedule was to blame.

* SoMyKidsCanWatch:
** This was also a motivator for Grant, as his pre-teen daughter was a big fan of the Spice Girls at the time.
** Creator/StephenFry admitted in an episode of ''Series/{{QI}}'' that he took a role in the film because it allowed him to get autographed posters of Music/TheSpiceGirls for his nephews, which he claimed "was like ten Christmases for them."
* TooSoon: A mention of Princess Diana had to be edited out of the movie when she was killed in a car accident before its release.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: The Spice Girls were only around for about two years in the late 90s, so this movie automatically dates itself to that point in time when they were worldwide sensations.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen:
** The Girls' performance of "Leader of the Gang" in Italy (the scene where the backup dancers had their asses hanging out of their costumes) was initially longer and led to a cameo appearance from Gary Glitter himself. However, before the movie was released, Glitter was infamously arrested on child porn charges. After this, everybody got together and agreed his cameo couldn't be cut from the film fast enough, though a bootleg version of the scene has made it to YouTube.
** Creator/JohnCleese was offered the cameo that ended up going to Michael Barrymore.
** Creator/GaryOldman wanted to take part, as his kids were Music/SpiceGirls fans, but he had a scheduling conflicts.
** According to the producer, there plans for then-Prime Minister UsefulNotes/TonyBlair to have a cameo:
-->“We had this sequence where it started off outside Number 10 and Tony Blair came out very seriously in front of the press corps and said something like, “I’ve given it a lot of thought and I’ve decided my favourite Spice Girl is…” And that was going to be the start of the movie. [But] he was Prime Minister and he felt he couldn’t do it.”
