- Inspiration for the Work: The entire reason for ChaosX starting the project was because he wanted to experience the game for himself, despite his low-end computer, and to fix its obvious faults.
- No Budget: Unsurprising, especially given ChaosX lives in Argentina since, as he put it, "gaming is not that commonplace." At one point, he was forced to temporarily halt development due to his computer failing.
- What Could Have Been:
- ChaosX had initially been developing a remake of Sonic Unleashed in Unity before switching over to '06.
- Metal Sonic was planned to be restored as a playable character, much like unused text in the base game hinted he would have been, but he was sadly scrapped once more. He's playable in the test stage of the very first demo, though he requires code editing to switch to.
