- He Also Did: The developer of Snipperclips is a small indie team called SFB Games. However, they were originally known as the Super Flash Bros., known on Newgrounds for various Flash animations, including the Decline of Video Gaming series.
- Working Title: An earlier version of this game, before Nintendo got the rights, was known as Friendshapes.
- Sleeper Hit: During the big Switch information reveal event in January 2017, all that was shown of Snipperclips was a brief second or so of gameplay as part of an "other titles coming to Switch" alongside big hitters like Zelda and Fire Emblem Warriors. However, when the game was demoed to the press, many journalists and fans were instantly taken with the unique gameplay and the game's potential as a co-op experience. It quickly became known as the other Switch must-have alongside Zelda at launch, and continued to sell well months into the console's launch period.
