- Cut Song:
- 18 unused tracks (plus two unused sound effects) can be found in the NSF and FTM files bundled with the game's soundtrack, including but not limited to:
- A Boss Remix of the 1986 Ford Taurus commercial theme, almost certainly meant for the Taurus battle. The final game uses the original song instead.
- A track likely intended for the Albatross level or fight, judging by its name in the FTM, "albatros".
- Two remixes of the original Godzilla theme. Again, the final game opts for the original track instead.
- A track labeled "scooby 2nd"; most likely an old theme for Final Doc, who uses the track "Passion" in the final game.
- A different Stage Clear theme; the final game uses the theme of the THX logo.
- Composer MiniMacro has also uploaded an early version of the track "Last Springsteen" to YouTube, under the name "Bruce Springsteen Goes to Detroit".
- 18 unused tracks (plus two unused sound effects) can be found in the NSF and FTM files bundled with the game's soundtrack, including but not limited to:
- Production Throwback: The Toad Joes in Giga Joe's stage debuted in a Make a Good Mega Man Level 2 contest entry submitted by Smedis, one of the developers for this game.
- What Could Have Been: Beta tester JupiHornet mentioned in his Let's Play of the game that Space Snowman originally had a hitbox on his entire body, as opposed to his hitbox being his disembodied heart.
