Trivia / Skinless

Go To

  • Ascended Fanon: Hippie Jim was originally just named "The Hippie", but a fan-induced version of The Danza took place and the band subsequently started using the name on social media.
  • Creator Backlash:
    • No one in the band likes From Sacrifice to Survival and neither does John Longstreth, who played on the album. The fans are almost unanimously in agreement that it's easily their worst album.
    • Jason Keyser also isn't too happy about his run with the band; while he is proud of Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead, he takes a dim view of basically everything else related to his time.
  • Directed by Cast Member: Joe Keyser not only performed and got guillotined in the "Skull Session" video, he directed it as well.
  • I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: Dave's been a friend of the band and a part of the New York Death Metal community for 20 years, and had collaborated with Noah in Armor Column before being invited to join the reformed Skinless.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Jason Keyser.
  • What Could Have Been: The 2013 reformation originated from a pitch Sherwood made to the other members to perform a one-night reunion at the inaugural Black Sky Festival in Denver.note  Noah balked at the amount of rehearsal work that would be required for just one show, but found that the meeting overall had actually rekindled his interest in the band. He counterproposed that they reform on a part-time basis to perform a handful of shows leading up to Black Sky, then evaluate their options for 2014 if this limited run went well. Sherwood, Bob and Joe were all on board with this and signed on immediately. (Noah also proposed that Dave join at this meeting, but his formal induction was held back until he was up to speed on the setlist.)
