• Reclusive Artist: The English voice cast for the first game. Absolutely nothing is known about them, and it's unknown if they were even actors to begin with and not just in house staff at the studio that localised the game.
• Referenced by...: Summer Time Rendering does homage to the game with Siren 2, from its setting on a small island harboring a Mother and her hive of Shadows, a villain with an origin story eerily similar to Datatsushi's, and a climax inspired by several elements of the endings of both games.
• Trailers Always Spoil: The fate of Tomoko was spoiled in the banned Japanese advert for the game.
• Word of God: An interview with the director clarifies some points about the original game... but leaves some mysteries, and actually outright contradicts the game itself at one point.
