• The Other Marty: At least some of the episode was shot with Paul McGann as Sharpe, but owing to an injury he had to be replaced by Sean Bean.
• Reality Subtext: Sharpe's uniform doesn't fit quite right in this film plus Sharpe's Eagle. Because Sean Bean was brought in as a last-minute replacement, there wasn't time for fittings so he wore the costume made for the slightly smaller Paul McGann without major alterations.
