• Casting Gag:
  • Ashley Tisdale and Austin Butler both starred in the film Aliens in the Attic (2009), playing cousins.
  • Ashley Tisdale and Lauren Collins previously starred together in Picture This (2008).
  • Pat Mastroianni and Lauren Collins have each starred in Degrassi: The Next Generation, as Joey Jeremiah and Paige Michalchuk, respectively. They rarely had scenes together, though.
  • Austin Butler plays the male romantic interest in this movie. He had worked alongside Lucas Gabreel, Ashley Tisdale's High School Musical brother, in the show Switched at Birth as Wilke.
  • This is the second time that Cameron Goodman and Ashley Tisdale have worked together. This first time was in The Suite Life Goes Hollywood. Tisdale played Maddie and Goodman played Hollywood Maddie.
• Deleted Scene: Lucas Grabeel reprises his High School Musical role of Ryan Evans (Sharpay's brother), in a scene added to the end of the film for the Disney Channel broadcast a month after the home video release. The scene is not featured on any DVD or Blu-ray release of the movie, not even as a bonus feature.
• Dyeing for Your Art: Averted. Ashley Tisdale wore a blonde wig while filming the movie.
• Hey, It's That Place!: Sharpay's house is the same house used in Confessionsofa Teenage Drama Queen,where Megan Fox's character, Carla Santini lives.
• What Could Have Been: Vanessa Hudgens expressed interest in making a cameo appearance in the film. However, Ashley Tisdale told MTV on May 21, 2010 that Hudgens would not appear in the film because she's "too busy promoting films and stuff" but announced there will be a special guest appearance.
