• What Could Have Been: Ito's afterword indicates that Kyoko Byakuya was meant to be the point-of-view character for the whole series during a number of odd incidents, thus the original title Travelogue of the Succubus. However, he found the story naturally diverting from that intention, with Byakuya turning into a character unsuitable for the narrator role and the travelogue idea falling to the wayside, and the story's themes changed, garnering the rename of Sensor.
