  • Backed by the Pentagon:
    • Yujiro Ishihara was one of Japan's biggest movie stars when the show went into production. His influence allowed the show to stage action movie-level action on a weekly basis for the next five years, as well as allowing the show to go across Japan for certain episodes.
    • Nissan was the show's main sponsor and it pratically ensured the crew had an unlimited amount of cars to wreck. Notably however, the crew were told not to wreck the newer cars, and most of the cars destroyed were older models.
    • There's more than one occasion in the show when the Daimon Force turn to the local Nissan dealership for help.
  • Dueling Works: With G-Men '82, sequel series to G-Men '75.
  • Meaningful Release Date: The show's two Extra Long Episodes were New Year's Day shows, while the 2004 special was released to commemorate the 17th death anniversary of Yujiro Ishihara and 20 years since the series ended.
  • Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition:
    • The 35th Anniversary BluRay box has model kits of the three RS Machines, a poster of Daimon's Remington M31 shotgun, character cards, a booklet, a replica of Daimon's police badge, and a shotgun box as a carrying case.
    • The 40th Anniversary boxset has a model of the TU-355 Lady Bird from Episodes 1 and 2, character cards and pins, another booklet, and a silver suitcase to replace the shotgun box.
  • Playing Against Type: Tokusatsu fans may be shocked to see Shin Hayata playing the bad guy in a few episodes.
  • Produced By Cast Member: Ishihara, and later Tetsuya Watari for the 2004 reunion special.
  • Real-Life Relative: Averted, with Kogure and Detective Jun Godai. Their actors are uncle and nephew, but in-series they are unrelated.
  • The Character Died with Him: In the Reunion Show, Kogure is mentioned to have passed away. Ishihara died in 1987, three years after the series ended.
  • You Look Familiar:
    • The show's most noticeable example were with Hiroshi Tachi's characters. After Sotaro Tatsumi got Killed Off for Real in Episode 30 of the first series, Tachi returned to the show a few episodes later as Eiji "Hato" Hatomura.
    • Kenji Sahara, of The Mysterians fame, had a recurring role in the first series as Kogure's friend who runs the local Good-Guy Bar. The character was later Put on a Bus, but Sahara returned in Part III as a different character.
    • Ultraman star Susumu Kurobe had several guest spots across the series, often playing the villain.
