• Awesome, Dear Boy: Taro Yamaguchi's reasoning for taking the role of Sun Jian Gundam Astray? He likes Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Sun Jian was one of his favorite people in it.
• Distanced from Current Events: The series focusing on the spread of a deadly virus is commonly cited as the reason for why its hiatus during the COVID-19 outbreak lasted for so long. Eventually, the aired episodes were rereleased with the Yellow Zombie Virus changed to the "Etiolation Trinity" to lessen the chance people connected it to the coronavirus. To go along with this change, two shots from the opening of yellow virus cells were changed to a shot of a burning village and a shot of an army of BUGs.
• Release Date Change: Episode 8 of the series was postponed for unstated reasons, though there is speculation that it's due to the coronavirus outbreak. This delay affected the whole series, since the announcement also stated that episodes 9 and beyond will also be delayed due to these circumstances. This was later done with Chapter 12 of Soshoki as well. Eventually, the final three episodes of the anime were aired almost a year later, but more chapters of the comics have not be announced as of yet.
