* CreatorKiller: The announcement of the React World network nearly became this to Creator/TheFineBrothers. Before they announced their plans for said network along with a plan to trademark and license "React" series, their channel had 14 million subscribers and was acquiring on average about 9,000 more a day. After the video was posted, the backlash that ensued resulted in them losing subscribers at a rate of about 4,000 ''per hour'' and counting. For some time in the videos since the announcement, there was nothing but comments expressing outrage even after they tried to clear it up, while others sarcastically accused them of trademarking mundane things. Eventually the influx of users only visiting their channel to leave displeased or sarcastic comments tapered off as the controversy blew over and the core viewers stayed on. The FBE network is by all appearances still going strong, having surpassed 14 million subscribers, and people rarely if ever bring up the React World controversy.
* FollowTheLeader:

** Some personalities have made "X Reacts to Kids/Teens/Elders React to X" videos in response to being featured on the show. * IKnewIt: The fact that Ethan James, despite having turned 20, continued to appear in the React Spin-Off videos was the first indicator that the Fine Bros. was bringing back their Adults React concept. Madison joined in later on (and was with Ethan James in the 4th "Try not to laugh" episode).

** Strangely inverted with "Teens React to TylerOakley", who's appeared on ''[=YouTubers=] React'' enough times to be considered a regular. There's also "Kids React to Miranda Sings", created by Colleen Ballinger, who'd been ''absent'' from ''[=YouTubers=] React'' [[TheBusCameBack right until the following week.]]

* NamesTheSame: Jeannie Mai. One is a fashion expert and host on the syndicated talk show ''Series/TheReal'' who has appeared on the ''Celebs React'' spin-off on Fullscreen. The other is a regular of ''React'' and its associated series, who originated on ''Teens React'' and has since moved onto ''College Kids React'' and ''Adults React''.[[note]]Possibly to avoid confusion, the latter Jeannie (who is referenced on a FirstNameBasis only in the videos, as with the rest of the cast) goes by her full name, Jeannie '''Elise''' Mai professionally as an actor and filmmaker and on social media (including her Website/YouTube account, which is now shown during her introductions on ''College Kids'' and ''Teens React'', as a result of the series adding Twitter, Instagram or [=YouTube=] handles for most of the cast in the lower-thirds at the start of the videos in 2018.)[[/note]]

* RoleEndingMisdemeanor: Sam Pepper has been officially blacklisted by the Fine Brothers after his infamous "Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank" video, with the duo saying that any similar behavior from other creators won't be tolerated.
** The Fine Brothers themselves later resigned in July 2020 when former reactor Kennedy Zimet revealed and called out The Fine Brothers for racist misdemeanor after the release of the "This Is My Story|[=#BlackLivesMatter=]" video, One of the actions was Benny Fine appearing in a WebVideo/ShaneDawson video in blackface and [[HostilityOnTheSet other racists actions behind the scenes of the React channel itself]], As well as other unfortunate projects both he and Rafi did in the past. * ScheduleSlip: The first episode of the VideoGame/{{Portal}} playthrough came out on November 29, 2015, the second episode wasn't made and released until almost two years later on November 2, 2017 with the third, fourth, and final episodes posted one a week after that.

** The crew's creativity at pranking reactors shine through various "Try Not To Get Mad Challenges." Two prominent examples include [[spoiler:giving adults nutella whose lid had been glued beforehand]] and asking teens to eat Oreo with pickle juice[[spoiler:, the former of which had toothpaste in it for when [[KaizoTrap the crew said the teens could eat them as a form of apology for subjecting them to the challenge]]]].

** The Fine Brothers had a plan to create a program called React World. Unfortunately, their plans for React World involved copyrighting the ''concept'' of reaction videos. The Internet wasn't having that, and the backlash was intense enough that the entire program was cancelled.

** Richard from ''Elders React'' also passed away in November 2014. His final appearance was in the ''WebAnimation/LlamasWithHats'' episode, with the subsequent episode, "Men Giving Birth", dedicated to him.
** Lois also from ''Elders React'' passed away in Mid 2015. The ''Film/MagicMike XXL'' episode is dedicated to her.
** Barbara, yet another ''Elders React''-or, passed away in late 2016. The ''[=eSports=]'' episode is dedicated to her.
** Rock from ''Elders React'' passed away in January 2021 due to COVID-19. He was 73.

There's a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyStZmf2Id0 near-original quality fan upload]] of this one, but the group who uploaded this mirror video made a couple bad edits.[[note]] It has a watermark clip added at the beginning that says "Kid's React..." [''sic''] and it FadesToBlack at the end of the 4:07 upload, effectively cutting the original 8:29 video in half.[[/note]]

*** "Kids React to [[Franchise/{{Batman}} Bat]]Dad" has only one [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs5-BkNg4oc low-quality mirror upload.]]

** When you look at Laughing Challenge Playlist, there's a missing video between Youtuber's Laugh Challenge #19 and #20. It's because the original Reactors' Laugh Challenge #82 was taken down days after it was launched. The crew decides to move on and replaces it with another one.

* RomanceOnTheSet: A few of the cast members have dated, notably Troy and Jillian and Eric and Tori.

** As of October 6, 2019, "Try Not To Eat - Studio Ghibli Food" was taken down due to copyright issues.

* SequelGap: The first episode of the VideoGame/{{Portal}} playthrough came out on November 29, 2015, the second episode wasn't made and released until almost two years later on November 2, 2017 with the third, forth, and final episodes posted one a week after that.
* ScrewedByTheNetwork: During the "React World" fiasco, they came under even more scrutiny once it was revealed that they were preemptively taking down other reaction videos, including a ''Seniors React'' video which debuted ''before'' the more well-known ''Elders React'' did.

* InternetBacklash: The whole [[DisneyOwnsThisTrope React World debacle]] turned out this way. Comments on their post-announcement videos were usually incredibly negative and sarcastic, ranging from people "copyrighting" just about everything to others [[StealthInsult congratulating them on getting 13 million subs... after they lost enough of them within two days to take the channel under 14 million.]] It wasn't just the commenters who were angry, either: several famous [=YouTubers=] and Website/YouTube channels, such as LetsPlay/{{Critikal}} and Creator/{{Filmcow}}, made videos blasting the Fine Brothers for their decision. The backlash was so great, they canceled the whole project and withdrew all trademarks and applications as well as released all past Content ID claims.

** As of October 6, 2019, "Try Not To Eat - Studio Ghibli Food" was taken down due to the same reason as the "Kids React to Disney/{{Frozen}}- Let It Go (Multi-Language)".
