- Late Export for You: Japan didn't get the movie until 2010, 14 years after the movie was released in the U.S., while the home video was released there at 2020.
- Role Reprise:
- In the Latin American Spanish dub, Emilio Guerrero reprised his role as Alf from the last seasons of the TV series.
- Ditto big time in the Japanese dub, as George Tokoro, who also voiced Alf in the TV series, reprised the role again, considering the last time he voiced him was about 15 years ago at the time.note
- What Could Have Been: The Tanners, or at least Willie, were actually supposed to make a brief cameo in the movie. A scene was discussed where it would be revealed that ALF still kept in touch with them by sending them letter, and there would have been a scene with Willie getting the mail in glacial Iceland. The scene never made it past the planning stage, though.
