By donating $10 per month, people would get a one-line basic NPC; for $50, they would be upgraded to a unique appearance and grant a simple quest. Some characters were upgraded even further after polls for $100 backers; these include Babs the shapeshifting sheepgirl/in-game gallery, Amelie the Kobold Paladin that's both a rival and potential party member, and Mary-Annette the sorceress that can reset anyone's skill points for a small fee.
