  • Creator Backlash: In one radio interview, when asked what parody was his least favorite, Al said "Toothless People". This can be partially attributed to how it is the only parody off of any of his albums that was not based off a hit song. Al thought that the song and its movie of the same name, Ruthless People, were going to be hits in the summer of 1986. The film did well, but the song flopped, only getting as high as #51 on the Hot 100. Since he already asked for and got Mick Jagger’s permission, he felt he was still obligated to include it on the album. It's also one of a few songs that he's never performed live once, a list that mostly otherwise consists of songs are difficult to perform live.
  • Exiled from Continuity: Al stopped performing "Christmas at Ground Zero" out of respect for those who died in 9/11. He eventually started performing it again in the late 2010s.
  • Writer Revolt: Al's record label forced him to put a Christmas song on this album. He met them with "Christmas at Ground Zero".
