• Referenced by...: In Pokemon Wars Of The Dark, the events of the pasta took place at some point before Ash's journey, and Miki, disgusted by Steven's reaction to her death, started mind raping anyone who harms their siblings. Misty’s sisters are three of her targets.
• Write What You Know: The creepypasta (particularly the botched trade between Steven and Mike that led to Miki's death) was based off the creator's actual experience of trading his Charizard, Miki, to his brother. The trade was corrupted, and eventually the creator decided to write the creepypasta, basing Steven off of himself and Mike off of his brother.
• Word of God: Steven's (and by extension, Mike's) last name is Stoughton. It's especially useful when you consider there's another Steven, last name Stone, in Hoenn.
