Trivia / Pokémon Lost Silver

  • Ascended Fanon: The updated sprites of Re: Lost Silver are based off of fanon interpretations of the original. Celebi's in particular shows guts coming out of its sliced half, which was very common in fanart.
  • Defictionalization: The original game adaptation served as one to the original Creepypasta, faithfully recreating the events of the game in a Pokémon Silver-like engine.
  • Official Fan-Submitted Content: A number of Re: Lost Silver's sprites (as well as the special artwork that appears at the end of the final route) were submitted by fans for use in the game.

    • Another Gold and Silver based Creepypasta, Pokémon Tarnished Gold, references this story in the email that acts as a framing device, with the sender of it giving their name as NO MORE, referring to one of the final Unown messages in this story.
    • Door’s Open, the sequel to Pokémon Strangled Red, eventually turns out to be a fan-made prequel to this story, saying that if you lose against S!3V3N when he appears in Silver, he’ll drop your character into the opening scenario of this story.
    • In Episode 17 of Pedro Araujo's Pokemon Gold series, Morty's Gengar puts Gold to sleep, then makes him go through this story as a nightmare. This nightmare is essentially a playthrough of Reid's game version of the pasta up to and including the battle with Red.
  • Troubled Production: Re: Lost Silver suffered from this, as Reidd Maxwell was dealing with heavy burnout, especially since he was simultaneously working on an adaptation of Easter Egg - Snow on Mt. Silver. As a result of this burnout, the original release was missing certain songs and sound effects (as well as being a bit buggy), though thankfully an updated version was released addressing these issues.
