Trivia / Pat and Mat

• Executive Meddling: The Communist government at the time of the show's inception were unhappy with Pat & Mat's shirt colors in Kuťáci, calling them "subversive" for supposedly mocking the USSR-Chinese relations. This caused Mat's sweater color to become gray for some time, until the fall of communism in 1989, in which Mat regained his former red shirt.
• Missing Episode: In 1998, a new format (longer running time, speaking characters) of the series was to be made, with the episode Playing Cards (Karty) to be the first episode using this model. It was completed but without the approval of Lubomir Benes's heirs, so the episode was never released. However, in 2014 somebody found the episode on a Korean VHS tape. View it here.
