- Completely Different Title: The Chinese title literally means "Jade Palace Lock Heart". That doesn't make much sense in English, so someone decided not to bother finding a more coherent English title and shortened it to just "Palace".
- "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune:
- Yang Mi (Qing Chuan) and Mickey He (Yin Zhen) sang "爱的供养/Ài De Gōng Yǎng/The Offering to Love". Mickey He also sang "见或不见/Jiàn Huò Bú Jiàn/Meet or Not Meet", and Yang Mi sang part of "明月/Míng Yuè/Bright Moon".
- Genre Popularizer: Along with Scarlet Heart, Palace popularised time travel dramas in China. Unfortunately, China's illogical and tyrannical censors responded to both series' popularity by banning time travel in dramas.
- Those Two Actors: Feng Shao Feng and Zhao Li Ying play minor characters in Palace II. As of 2021 the series is one of five times they've worked together (and they're also married in real life).
