- Development Hell: Ryzov has outright referred to Age of Aquarius, the Ganymede episode, as being in this. It took five years to make, from its inception in 2019 to finally releasing in February 2024. Fortunately, it was well worth the wait.
- Exiled from Continuity: Word of God is that everything posted prior to The Terror Moon ranges from semi-canon to non-canon.
- Loose Canon: Any update posted on April Fools' Day.
- Shrug of God: Was the Beijing Impact that kicked off Hell Day an intentional attack by someone, was it some wayward projectile from a far-off interstellar conflict, or was it just a random asteroid? Most likely, it wasn't set on its course recently and it wasn't from within Sol, but what it was, no one knows. Ryzov has outright stated that "there's no canon answer" and "Perhaps it doesn't matter."
- Production Throwback: The Kara are apparently borrowed from an unpublished fantasy setting of Ryzov's.
- Working Title: OVRHVN was apparently going to be called "Mandate of Heaven" at one point.
