• The initial idea for Obsidian Blaze was to remake the author's previous work, a Godzilla fanfiction called Godzilla Warriors, but with original characters. Instead, it evolved into it's own original story.

• Inspiration for the Work: The author is very open about the fact that many of the characters from the comic are inspired by other characters.
  • Pyrite is based on the character Midas from Fortnite, as well as Homelander from The Boys
  • One of the biggest inspirations for Beat was Hololive Vtuber hololive - Mori Calliope Ch.
  • Anri's attitude, as well as her role as a backdoor healer, was heavily inspired by Tae Takemi from Persona 5
