- Author Phobia: According to Word of God, Night of the Consumers is based on Germfood's own real-life experience of working as a retail assistant. Hard to say which business gave him Hell, but it's most likely one of the UK's chains of discount stores. Extra credit given that he's still working full-time while testing and updating this game.
- Celebrity Voice Actor: MrKravin provided the voice lines for the consumers and the manager.
- Life Imitates Art: Sneak peeks of the game shows it had been in development since December 2019. Then Coronavirus breaks out in China. The world witnesses mad scenes of mass panic-buying from customers stocking up on essentials like toilet rolls, which coincidentally resembles the cutscene of Jimmy fleeing from the consumers crashing through toilet paper rolls. The Evil Cripple customer even has a line where he coughs on you and goes "HAHA! GOT YOU! YOU GOT MY GERMS!".
