Trivia / Need for Speed: Most Wanted – Pepega Edition

  • Dummied Out:
    • Without counting those replaced in the Anniversary update, some Blacklist members were added/replaced with others before the game was officially released, such as: Darius, Spike, Wolf, Lt. Keller, Mia (even utilizing a picture of her aged-up actor for her profile image), Bob the Builder (despite his only reason to exist was due to a Mythology Gag), and various others.
    • In the Legacy Version of the game, an alternative busted scene utilizing the animations of Carbon was found, implying it was once meant to replace the original one.
  • Inspiration for the Work: Eden mentions in one of the phone calls that the inspiration for the Pepega Edition mod came from CommunityMindedMiner replacing one of the in-game billboards to the kuruW emote, which eventually inspired him to replace more textures, text and the in-game music.
  • Promoted Fanboy:
    • Falefee, a Youtuber known for making Midi remixes referencing the Need For Speed Java games and Kuru, was given the chance to work on some of the soundtrack, including a remix of Blackpanthaa outro which Word of God admitted to love. He would also appear in the sequel ProStreet - Pepega Edition, as one of the random racers the player can find.
    • Various players who were fast enough to find all the QR codes hidden in the mod were added as CPUs in the Anniversary Update.
  • Trolling Creator:
    • If you want to get the Golf GTI headstart, you are in bad luck, as its cost has been increased by 1 lira, forcing you to choose between the new vehicles instead.
    • Attempting to pull a specific trick during the endgame races will result in the level to restart, and beating the same level normally will make a cutscene play lampshading the fix, with none other than the late El Risitas laughing at you for even trying to do it.
  • Troubled Production: One of the facts Eden mentions during the phone calls in the original version of the mod is that the Pepega Edition mod almost never came to be due to an error that led to files being lost. Thankfully, they were able to salvage the whole thing and continue where they left of.
