• Fandom Nod: Gabby is thought by some to be a reference to brony musician Gabriel Brown (AKA BlackGryph0n), who is known for being friends with Apple Bloom's voice actress. Gabby even has a similar color scheme to Gabe's griffon OC, and her full name "Gabriella" is the female form of "Gabriel".
• Out of Order: More displaced than any other episode in the series. In production order, this is the ninth episode of Season 6. In broadcast order, it's the nineteenth. According to the director, this was done because they wanted a CMC episode airing in the second half of the season. It also pays off by making their greatly increased reputation feel more natural than if it had only been a few episodes since we last focused on them.
• Short Run in Peru: This episode premiered in Poland three days earlier than in the USA or any English-speaking country. On the next day, the episode premiered in Italy. All this is likely due to TV stations in these countries not knowing about the change in broadcast order.
• Word of God: According to Jim Miller, this episode was shifted later in the schedule to add a CMC-related episode in the back half of Season 6. As a result, this led to an early leak of the episode due to airing a few days before on a Polish television station.
